Thomas Ferguson is synonymous with high quality linen and is widely acknowledged to be the finest linen Jacquard weaver in the world. This reputation for quality has been developed through many generations of dedication and skill and owes much to the Company's rich heritage. Founded in 1854 by Thomas Ferguson, an already established linen weaver, the Company has been weaving Irish Linen for over 150 years.

The Company, bears the name of its founder, Thomas Ferguson and has been offering quality Irish linen to customers since 1854. Today there are still a few weavers weaving plain linens for apparel, but Thomas Ferguson is the only Irish linen damask weaver still remaining in the whole of Ireland weaving traditional Irish damask table linen.

Thomas Ferguson Irish linens are weavers of fabulous bed and table linen for embassies, palaces, stately homes and fine hotels all over the globe. Ferguson's products are also offered in the World's most upmarket stores.

A visit to Thomas Ferguson Irish Linen offers visitors a rare opportunity to see Irish linen at its various stages of production. These include design, weaving, specialist cutting and hemming and ornamenting.

Visitors can purchase products from the Centre's fabulous linen collections. Tours of the factory are available, preferably by appointment - please telephone for times. The tour lasts for about 45 minutes and is not suitable for children under 7 years.

Thomas Fergusons was a highlight of my visit to Northern Ireland in 2007 - that and the linen museum in Lisburn. Fergusons was difficult to find - not much signage for tourists - you have to know or ask people who know. Glad I persevered. I used my beautiful tablecloth at Christmas dinner ('09) yesterday - which recalled my visit vividly and cheerfully. Pics on this site are great!
